24/7 Solutions - WHOIS-service - how it works?

WHOIS-service is used for definition of owners of the domains registered in Internet. It is the information service containing the information on registered domains, the companies or people addressed to which these domains are registered, and (sometimes) - about system administrators who are responsible for systems. Besides WHOIS contains the information on owners of network addresses ranges.

Access to service - free, but users necessarily warn of rules of the order the received information. Practically it means, that the user of service agrees with the certain conditions into which number enter: the requirement of use of the received information only in the lawful purposes, an interdiction on its use with a view of the organization of a spam, an interdiction on carrying out selections the information, exceeding the resolved norms. It is forbidden to change the information received by means of service at its further distribution to commercial objectives. Certainly, this agreement it is possible to read through, forget and do all on the contrary. But service traces inquiries directed to them. In the certain situations Whois can stop delivery of the information and apply to users the actions which are not allowing them to break a condition of using by service.

Access to service WHOIS give many projects, but it is better to use access to it on sites of official coordinators of zones in which there are checked domain names, or on sites of those organizations to which you trust. For zones .com, .net the official coordinator is company VeriSign. Its form of inquiry is to the address of . Through this form it is possible to conduct search of domains of the first and second levels in zones .com, .net, and also in zones .aero, .arpa, .biz, .coop, .edu, .info, .int, .museum and .org.

For reception of data on the domain it is enough to enter its address (for example, 24-7-solutions.net) in a floor of input to wait some seconds to receive the requested information. The quantity and the maintenance of the information can differ. It depends on, where and through whom the domain interesting you has been registered. But the general structure of the answer - uniform also is certain by document RFC 1834 in which the description of all admissible fields is given. For reception of data on separate objects (service of technical support, the organization, the person) it is necessary to enter their unique identifiers (nic-handle), for example:

Among them it is possible to allocate blocks of a network, the domain, the person.
